Help! She won't drink formula!

posted 27th Feb
My daughter will be 8mths the 12th and refuses to drink formula, we though maybe it was a milk allergy an switched her to soy she still wants nothing to do with it, and because of the switch began to get very constipated so she has only been drinking prune juice and pedialyte mixed with water, I'm not sure what to do she is not full and just continues to drink more than she should, she does eat babyfood twice a day but still currently she is not drinking any formula I have tried everything help!

If you were breastfeeding why not go back to that? I would also look into donor milk from Human Milk 4 Human Babies. I am sorry you are going through this mama. It sounds stressful. :[

She was only breasted for the first month and has been on formula since, she just started not wanting it about 2 weeks ago after taking her to the doctors he had us switch and try soy and she has no interest in either formula, she eats babyfood twice a day normally a fruit and a veggie or mixed dinner, she usually eats two at a time, and stops herself, I'm at a loss on what to do because she is so upset and is not full

Maybe try raw goats milk? Formula doesn't taste the best so many she realizes that since having solids? Maybe the taste bothers her? Not that I have heard of that happening necessarily but I suggest making home made goats milk formula. It might help make her want to drink it and its easier on babies tummies because it has the digestive enzymes. It would at least fill her up and it is close to human milk. Goats milks is the closest milk to ours you can get.
