overnight

My son is five and he still has to have pull ups because he is a heavy sleeper my doctor told me not to wake him up and that it is normal for boys sometimes to take longer to night train. he goes fine as far as peeing and poopong during the day since he was three but every night he needs a overnight diaper. recently i have had to get big boy underwear because the pull ups werent working. i have him go potty before bed and i try to remind him to get up and leave night lights on. any moms dealing this? also i am on my cell so excuse punctuation and such

my daughter is four and a VERY heavy sleeper and also needs diapers on at night. she's been potty trained since two and doesn't need them when she naps. but always has accidents at night about 50% of the time if she doesn't have a diaper. (I've tried) i learned to let it go until she is more able to wake up on her own. i leave night lights on, she doesn't drink after dinner and goes potty before her diaper but it still doesn't make a difference. so i guess just wait it out... my daughter also drinks fluids all day long, probably drinks more water than i do! so maybe that also effects it? idk. i am in the same boat tho! i know it sucks!
