I just found out I was pregnant but was wondering....

Okay so I didn't know where to post this but I found out I was pregnant on Saturday by taking a HPT test and it was positive. I was thinking last month my period was late by a few days but I got it on the 27th of January and a couple weeks ago had some unexpected spotting. I just took the test Saturday but my period isn't due until the second of next month. I'm just wondering how I got a positive pregnancy test so early. Me and my Fiance have been trying to figure it out because with my son I had to take three before I got a positive. Just curious is all/. :-)

my MIL got one at 5 days after conception!!!! i didn't get a postive unitl 4 weeks. i had a blood test at 2 weeks and it was negative.

Every pregnancy is different. Your hormone levels must be rising more quickly. Or maybe you ovulated a little early. I found out at 3w2d with this baby.

First off, congrats!!

The unexpected spotting was probably a implantation bleeding, and not a period. It could be that your period was supposed to come a little sooner than you thought, but it is definitely possible for you to get a positive 3-6 days early.

Same here 3weeks 2 days. Entirely possible that op would have a positive and not be due for af until the 2nd

Ahhh Okay. then. What can cause my hormone levels to rise quickly if u happen to know and is ovulating earlier normal for people who have irregular periods? Sorry I have all these questions lol. I'm curios because twins run in my fiances family and i am wondering if that could cause it.

Twins running in the father's family will not hurt/help your chances of having twins.

Thank you :-D but I had a period and then after i had the period i had the unexpected spotting and i thought that was when the implantation bleeding happened.

if the pregnancy hormones are potent enough, they'll show as early as a week before your missed period. Good luck to you!!

Very true. Identical twins are freaks of nature and can happen to anyone regardless of heredity. Fraternal only happen if the mother has a family history of it
