Quoting Kait.:" I had my iron checked not too long ago and it was fine. I have not tried taking Vit B though. What ... [snip!] ... them say it. My knees are somewhat swollen just as of recently. I have had no injuries to my knees (or anywhere else) ever. "
Okay. I sort of read your other post as well.
You usually need a referral to see a specialist, and they'll often want specific tests run first anyways, so I'd see a PCP first. Try to get an ANA run as well as an ESR, RA test, and the normal blood pannel and checks for vitamins.
These will help start looking and ruling out things like autoimmune, RA, Lupus, stuff like that. Also have your thyroid checked. Thyroid can cause joint pains, loss of hair, low energy, problems with your cycles, depression. Lots of stuff.
If nothing shows up, look at your food. Gluten can cause problems in a lot of people and they don't realize it. it can even show up after you haven't had a problem for year. It can cause aches as well.
Lastly, fibro. I have that one (which is why I know about all the testing). There isn't really a test for that one. it's more a process of eliminating everything else.
