My son won't call me Momma.

posted 26th Feb
I'm getting aggravated. :/
He won't say Momma!
He is 20 months old..
He says,Dada,Drink,Bye,Sit,Stay,and Riley.
(We have a dog)
But it's been sounding like he is saying my FIRST name.

Help!

Do the people around you refer to you as your real name, or momma? Maybe have everybody call you momma around your son and he'll pick up on that and call you momma too.

My son is the same way, but when I ask him "Where is Momma?" he will point to my chest and say "Right Here". He may not say Momma but he does know who I am and what to ask from me that he doesn't with Dadda.

His daddy trys to do it. But he forgets and jusr calls me by my name.
My mom will refer me to Momma when we are hanging out.

I try to tell him who I am. He just doesn't care.

My 3 year old son calls DH by his first name he used to get so aggravated by it but after we've tried everything to get him to say "Daddy" instead of his first name we've just given up. Hopefully it's a phase thing, DS is closer to DH than me so i think it might be like a friends type thing idk.

It's totally normal, my son did it with both my SO and I for a little while. I think it's cute.

My son won't sit still long enough.
If I try pointing things out to him.
He just turns his head.
He is easily distracted.

My son won't say Mama. He's a jerk. He's almost 2, lol

I'll even say "where's Dada?" he points. He yells "Dada!!" but when I say, "where's Mama?" He tilts his head like a dog that doesn't understand you. *face palm*
