re: Time for March babies

Yay, I due march 14th , already 3cm and 80 percent effaced. Been like this for over week, so excited. Good luck everyone , yayy just went for a 2 hr walk to help things move along.

Being induced next Friday at midnight! I will be getting no sleep Thursday night, that's for sure. Bags have been packed for a few months now (since I've been going into PTL). When I was checked again yesterday I was 4 & a half cm and 85% effaced. I've been making major progress since I was in the hospital last week. Hopefully I go into labor (again) before next week. 9 more days (tomorrow)!!!!!!!

I am due March 29th but the doctor plans on inducing a week early if I don't go before then. I am so excited and nervous. This pregnancy has went by pretty fast and I hope it don't slow down now. I keep looking at all my baby stuff and I'm starting to get very emotional. I just can't wait to meet my little man.

Mine went by pretty fast, but now that i'm going to be induced March 8th... these last 9 days are dragging by....

Here's another question... To be induced does there have to be a problem with your pregnancy?

No, but they won't induce unless you are 39 weeks... or have a medical reason to do so before 39 weeks... just all depends on the doctor.

I'm hoping I get some insight today at my appointment, they haven't checked me at all for dialation yet.

Well waiting on LO to get here at my last appt. monday i was still 3 cm and 50% effaced the dr told me that we r going to let her try to come on her own hes waiting to see if i have any progress by the 5th which is the day after my due date.. he says if there is any progress then we r going to talk about inducing me. But with the way i have been all night i dont think we will have to worry about that i ended up falling on my butt last night while my 1yr son was playing around my legs so i figured that the contractions were just bc of that but now they r 10 mins apart they have been since 2am so im hoping shes coming on her own... I am 39 weeks and 2 days today

Alot of doctors dont check you, unless you ask or untill your 40 weeks. There really isnt a need to check, and it increases your chances of an infection. My doc is checking me today at 36 weeks, but after that she asks me if I want to be checked out (which I always do lol). Anyways thats probably why you havent been checked yet. I would definately ask today when you go in. Also some doctors will induce you if you want, but usually not untill after 39 weeks unless there is a medical reason. Most doctors I know wont do it though, and honestly they shouldn't. It can hurt your baby if they arent ready yet. Trust me, in the long run you will be much happier letting your body do it on its own. Good luck today at your appointment

There's really no need to until you're closer to your due date. It can actually cause an infection if you get checked too much. As for induction, since this is your first baby, your doctor most likely won't induce you. Your due date could be off by two weeks or more. I know a lot of second time moms get induced at 39 weeks, but that's even slim because there's no reason unless medically necessary (like in my case).

I am 37 weeks today   We can't wait to find out if we have a new son or daughter!! I am very uncomfortable, but it is all worth it in the end. I haven't been checked yet, and don't really plan to be. I feel it is pointless since it really doesn't matter until you are in labor. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious though!! I've had strong BH contractions for the past two months....so I am going to let myself believe that I am making some progress! Best of luck ladies!!

I am beyond ready to have my other dd here! I have a 14 month old as well and it is getting so hard to tend to her being so big lol. When I was pregnant with her I was walking around 4 cm dilated and 85% effaced for 4 weeks so I know that means nothing. I am hoping to get induced on the 12th (for personal family reasons) My dr said we will talk about it more on the 8th. So please pray they do!!!   Good luck to the rest of you!!

I am so sick of being pregnant!! Lol. Im due March 21 with my second girl but I'm so happy I made it this far. I had a huge leak at 21 weeks and wwas told a pocket in my membrane had burst and wasn't expected to make it past 27 weeks and ill be 37 tomorrow!!  . Hoping ill be checked for dilation tomorrow at my app because I've had some intense BH the last few weeks and had some spotting Sunday and Monday.
