switching BC/My IUD story - kinda long, sorry -

First off, I would like to reintroduce myself   I haven't been on BG much for almost 2 years now due to working full time, school and being a momma of course so my name is Kelsey. I've been on BG since 2007 and hopefully I can start making a comeback  

Anywho, to start from the beginning I had been having yeast/bacterial infections at least one month for about a year. I knew it was my IUD but my regular ob/gyn didn't want to believe me because my IUD that I was on was called Paraguard and there have been virtually no complaints about it. After doing a broad spectrum vaginitis panel at a papsmere, turns out I came back with HPV which could've been sexually transmitted or could've gotten it from my mother and have had it my whole life. They also said that I had some abnormal cells on my uterus and that it was very mild displaycia, so they started me on the Gardasil shots to prevent the cells from spreading and possibly becoming cancerous. After all of that and being on Flagyl for a straight 4 months and still having a reoccurring problem of vaginitis, i decided to go to a different doctor and get it taken out like I've been wanting. Turns out that I was right. My IUD floated, turned itself upside down and bent, also it turns out it was embedded on the right side of my uterus. The doctor told me that if I chose to wait any longer than it would have needed to be surgically removed. And of course since I've had it taken out, I have no longer had any kind of abnormal discharge. All of this happened about a month ago.

So after about a week of my IUD being gone, I decided to started taking BC pills again but after being out of the habit of not taking them, I have missed about 6 pills so far this month. Plus there was a couple of days that I doubled up on cause I would forget. I finally have an alarm set on my phone to take them now which helps. But what I'm having problems with is since I've had my IUD taken out, I had 1 abnormal period that lasted about 3 days. It was heavy at first, then just spotted for the next two. And almost every week since I've spotted for at least one day or two. The first couple of episodes were mainly almost a brown color and now they're just a dark red/bright red/brown color still. I would assume it would just be my body getting used to the IUD taken out but they just seem more like mini periods that go on for 1-3 days then stop for a week and start again. My breasts are extremely sore and I feel drained all of the time recently too. Also having the munchies like crazy. I'm in a long distance relationship and the last time I saw him was the beginning of january which was about 2 1/2 weeks after I had my IUD taken out. Well all of the sudden also this past week, my right boob has been leaking milk again. Should I be worried? I called the doctor today and they called my back twice but I was at work unfortunately and by the time i checked my phone, they were already closed. The messages they left said to call back as soon as I could and I'm going to in the morning but I'm just overthinking things now and maybe get some input on what the problem could be?

Could you be pregnant maybe?


Paragard caused me to lose an ovary and could have killed me. I'm convinced they will be made illegal someday.

I guess there's always the chance i could've gotten pregnant when Robert was here last, but like I said, I had the mirerna taken out about 2 1/2 weeks after he left and I would assume if I was then I would've lost it because of that. I haven't taken a test so I don't know :\

I have paraguard and reoccuring bacterial vaginosis with no explanation now I am worried maybe its my iud too
