baby moving a lot less

posted 26th Feb
I'm 30 weeks pregnant and yesterday and today he's been moving a lot less. I went to the doctor yesterday and the did the nst and said his heart looks fine. But I'm still hardly feeling him kick. Hes normally very very active. What should I do?

drink some orange juice or some ice cold water and lay down on your left (or right) side.

I've done that and everything else my doctor said to do. The nurse had a hard time getting him to move yesterday also

It's not abnormal, they run out of room and moving a lot is not as easy as before

^ yes. I wouldn't really worry too much, as long he's still moving, I'm sure everything is fine.

Its normal. As you get further in your pregnancy the baby moves less because he/she doesn't have much room anymore, as for me my daughter is still very active and I'm 38 weeks

My OB's office said to lay down and really focus on baby. He said that if I DON'T get 10 movements in 2 hours to call.

It is normal for decreased movement as the baby gets bigger and has less space to move around though.

I wouldn't worry too much, when I was pregnant with my son after I got about 27 weeks he would have times he wouldn't move as much and like you it would freak me out and worry me. To get the baby moving I always drank ice cold water and layed down on my back or I would eat something really sweet and that would always get him kicking. Do remember though that they run out of room the further you get along and you will feel less kicking and more squirming, but as long as you feel some movement it's alright it's when you feel no movement that you should worry.
