If you have a SCHOOL-AGED kiddo...

I'm talking Kinder+
How often do they have field trips?
Random question, i know.
Also, do they go to public or private school?
(don't know if that makes a difference)
My son goes to private, first grade, had a field trip the week before last,
a 4-day weekend last week- cos of President's Day, then a field trip this next week!
When are these kids in class    
I'd say since the year started he's had, oh man-- i don't even know.

Anyways- i'm just curious

Public here 0-1 time a year.

Private school and she goes on one a month, and in June she goes on two.

Here they have one it seems for each holiday (pumpkin patch at halloween, nutcracker ballet at christmas, etc.) a zoo trip at the end of the year and other random plays & shows throughout the year.

I WORK at a private school and my daughter will be attending it next year and they go on about 1-2 a month.

I grew up in private school til high school (went to the same one my son's at for half of it) and my mom taught at them- maybe i just don't remember them this frequently

depends kindy goes to pumpkin patch, spec ed class I'm in goes to a ranch every year that specializes in special needs riding horses. It's a whole western town, 6th grade goes to camp, other grades are lucky to do smurf lol

Aw, the ranch sounds awesome!

In 5-6th grade i remember going to "Miracle Ranch" where we all went to a horse camp for the weekend. I don't remember it fondly   But the special needs idea sounds awesome  

The school district I live in don't do anything! They claim it's a liability or something! But growing up and in school went 3 to 5 times a yr!

I'm tipsy, so my memory of kindergarten is too fuzzy to recall if he went on a field trip, but this year he had one and it was to the museum. And he missed it due to being suspended from school.   So he took a "field trip" to child support court with me.

Nope. It was more of a cattle call because it was through the child support office, not the actual courts. So there were hundreds of BDs there and their BMs.  

It took us like 6 hours to get back out of there.
