My splint came in for me today so I went to the specialist to make sure it fit properly.
I have been wearing it since about 2:30 this afternoon (Minus when I eat).
Doc told me NOT to take it out until further notice unless I am either eating or brushing my teeth.. In which case clean the splint as well. (They said I could have to wear it from 3 weeks to 3 months and maybe longer).
At first when I put it in I thought to myself, "This isn't so bad."
Then I took it out to eat dinner. My jaw popped so freaking hard. I never realized how much I clinched my teeth until about maybe 2 hours ago. I hate this. I just want to grab it, take it out of my mouth and throw it across the room!! I want to feel my teeth touching again and I am SO OVER not being able to enunciate a lot of my words!

I took it out for a couple of minutes to brush my teeth. I looked over at Aaron and asked him if it is normal that my back molars are suddenly not resting on the bottom molars?
My molars have always rested on each other. He told me his mouth has never rested that way.
