HCG Level at 700 no gestational sac

My last period was on December 29 2012 and ended January 1st. So; I took probably eight home pregnancy tests some came back positive and some came back negative. I understand I may have been early in my pregnancy(i took the pregnancy test on January 30th) so some would come back negative and some would come back positive. I went down to my local clinic for them to do the test and it came back negative. Again, I was just thinking I was too early so I waited a few more days and went back in and had a faint line. Which confirmed for me anyways that I was just really early. I had spotting off and on nothing heavy or no clots and it wasn't constant just off and on. My first pre natal appt. was on February 14 my doctor did a urine test and it came back negative. They did a vaginal ultra sound and they couldn't find a gestational sac but again the tech told me I could be just really early. So they drew blood and it came back at 700 so I came back into the doctors and blatantly asked her if I had a miscarriage and she said yes! So I asked why is my hcg level at 700 and she said it should slowly come down. I was suppose to start my period 23rd of this month and haven't yet but I know "if" I had a miscarriage that it will take my body sometime to adjust. Yesterday I went in again for another blood test and waiting for the results for that. It's just crazy I mean am I pregnant or not? Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice would be welcomed!!!

Sounds like a chemical pregnancy. My levels were 777 and dropped to zero shortly after.

Sounds like a missed miscarriage or chemical pregnancy. Yes you are pregnant since you have Hcg in your system but its not a viable pregnancy. You should be around 7 or 8 weeks pregnant according to your last period

Thanks for the advice! I'm just wondering if my hcg level has risen what is going to be the next step? I'm sorry this is my first pregnancy and its all very new and confusing to me!

I got a bfp on the 5th on the 7th I got blood work I was at 300 no baby on the ultrasound

Lasy period was dec 21th and I just saw the baby monday and a heart beat good luck to you! Im 7 weeks and they thought I was 11

That makes me hopeful I hope you have a great pregnancy! I'm just going to wait on blood results to see what's going on and just take it from there!

Did they check your Fallopian tubes?

Not that I'm aware of all they did was a vaginal ultrasound. Hopefully today I hear something back about my blood test to see if my levels have doubled.

Just heard back from the doctors office and my levels went completely down. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who gave advice!
