I have a couple questions

posted 26th Feb
I was wondering how old and what you fed your baby when you started giving them solids (solid, solids. not just baby food).

And the other question is when did you move your baby from its carrying carseat to a bigger seat? Or what's the weight/ height limit?

We started baby led weaning at 6 months she had carrots, apples, and banana as first foods. I switched her to a convertible around 8 months because the carrier was just to heavy. Every seat has different limits so read your manual.

My son was moved from infant to convertible RF at 3 months old.
Most convertible seats start out at 5lbs.

He was eating solid food by 4/5 months, I let him tell me when he was ready.

We started certain table foods at the same time we did baby foods. And were no getting an infant seat at all this time. I hate those things. We have a convertible for the new baby

i started cereal at 3 months solids at 5 months and solid solids when he got a few teeth (a lot of supervision incase of chocking) and he was 20 lbs at 6 months so i had to change him to a regular car seat but still had him rear facing.

I started giving her soft table food at 8-9 months, but only soft food, because she didn't have teeth until 10 months.

We moved her to a convertible seat (rear facing) at 8 months. They need to rear face until at least one year AND twenty pounds.

Dd will be one in march and switching to her convertible car seat on her birthday. I started baby food at 6 months. Gave it up and started back up more seriously at 8 months. She just started eating table foods like rice and cooked veggies last Saturday.

His first table food was cucumbers. He loved it. That was at 5 months. (he started baby food at 4 months) he would get tastes of food. And sliced up fruits and veggies for snacks. Then he got some of the gerber graduate snacks at 6 months. He eats what I eat now at 7 months.

Switched him to a convertible carseat at 5 months.

My daughter has had actual food since 6 months, we didn't do any of the pureed stuff this time. She eats what ever we eat cut up small enough for her to just pop it in and chew it up, but when he first started it was long and skinny strips for her to hold in her hand. www.babyledweaning.com is a great site to look at.
Broccoli and carrots are what we started her with.

& You can find the height and weight limits on the side of the carseat, usually about 21lbs and 30in, but check to make sure.

Woah, thanks guys   I'm just so nervous of feeding him table foods just because of the fear of choking.
