Swelling after a C-Section?

Guys. My ass is HUGE. Each cheek feels like a giant water balloon! And, for some weird reason, my lips! Tell me this will go away soon!!! And is this normal??    

ETA: I ended up having to have general anesthesia... would that have something to do with it?

i was still swollen for like a week or two after my delivery with my oldest.

normal I was swollen both times for 3-4 weeks

i too had general anesthesia... i had bad swelling at the end of the pregnancy too so it may be hormones or water retention... if it becomes uncomfortable id tell your OB

It sounds like water rentention. Did you have it prior to the c section?

That's funny you say that with my 3rd section I had the exact same thing happen my ass felt numb huge and swollen lol. It went away after a few days

I swear I could hear the fluid swishing around. I weighed more after my csection then before. Then about 3-4 weeks pp I drop 20 lbs over night. It was ridiculous!

Ugh! Yeah!!! I only lost 5 lbs! How is that even possible with a 6 lb baby plus placenta, etc?!? Haha
