I wouldnt just for her. But i have one and she plays with it way more than i do. but i didnt go out saying i bought it for her. I got it for xmas and she kinda took over. My 7 year old is saving up right now for an ipad...she has enough for the ipod touch and has just 100$ left to save for her ipad lol.

Nope. My two year old got a visual land, and my 5 year old got a kindle. I'm not spending $500 on something just because it's an apple. Plus, they're fragile as hell. My youngest already broke my aunts, dropping it a total of 3 inches.

This.

I wouldn't, too easy to break. (I wouldn't buy myself one, either, tbh) Kindle is better. Less fragile, and cheaper.

No. He doesn't have respect for his things yet.

No. . I think I might be a bit of a Luddite when it comes to kids and tehchnology... It seems so unnescesary to me but maybe I'll change my mind as DD grows. I'm trying to slowly wean the older kids off their video games and teach them to entertain themselves in other ways, but I still love having our IPads/Ds's/smart phones for long car trips...

We will share if but she will be the one using it a lot.
I got her the leap pad2 and she's not into it at all but she's always playing on my phone, but she's very gentle & careful with it.

Lol hers must have been reallllll fragile then because my 1 yr old has dropped mine like 20 million times and it doesn't even have a scratch. Same w my iPod. But no I wouldn't buy one just for her at that age, a little older yes. Maybe something cheaper or she could just play w mine
quoteposted 26th Feb
nope.. even with cams leappad he can be rough at times when playing with it
