so i... how long?

went to the drs today at 9 am it is now 12:30 she checked me finally and i am 3 cm and 80% effaced she said it feels like im going to go into labor.. she did a membrane sweep and i iam having some contractions off and on...i went into labor 30 min after having this done with my daughter but im curious to know how long it took you mamas to start having contractions and go into labor...
last night i was so uncomfortable and i started losing more of my muscas plug it got thicker yuck anyways im about to go for a walk and see if i can get things goin. so if you mamas can tell me ur experience with the membrane sweep that would be cool!thanks ladies!

I was in early labor (contracting every 10 minutes) for a week before my water broke. No one will be able to answer your question. It could be tomorrow or two weeks from now. Only time will tell.

I've never had my membranes swept. But walking helped me a ton when I was in early labor with #2. Good luck!

my membranes were sweeped with baby #4 on a monday morning i started labor tuesday night around 10:30. I contracted every 10min until wednesday night when my sisternlaw made me walk. they immediately went to every 4 min. i had her at 11:54pm wednesday night

lol walking is what made me go with my son and i was having no contractions before it..
