Flu in 4 year old

We just found out that DS father has the flu. He was there all weekend and DS is showing signs of it as well. :-( The Dr. will not give them anything here and I just wanted to know if you guys have any tricks to help them get through it a bit easier. Any tricks to get them to eat and keep them hydrated.


Guess I have to kick DH out for a bit becuase he does not have his spleen and can't fight infection. I don't need him in the hospital on top of sick kids!

There isn't really anything you can do, if there is vomiting or diarrhea get some pedialyte. Other than that use Tylenol/Motrin to get down the body aches

That is what I thought... Thanks!! He has not started with the tummy issues yet so maybe he will get lucky but I doubt it becuase his fathers started today and DS was with him from friday night up until yesterday around 5. I think he is doomed!
