That is the problem. We don't know what triggers it and when she goes bad, she goes bad fast. We know dogs don't, but other than that it is a total guessing game.

We always have her inhaler with her it isn't an option not to have it. Last time it started with a cough and within an hour we were in the hospital for a second breathing treatment and then admitted to a children's hospital for 2 days.

Yea now she is on a daily steroid though but they said that might not even be enough to help   She is too young for controller meds and they were very hesitant about the steroid because it isn't recommended for children under 4 and she is only 2. It is her best bet of staying out of the hospital though.

Quoting Draco'sStalker:" i have a feeling once DD is walking, she'll be the same way. i'm working on letting her get dirty."

We were living in the country at that time, so we didn't have much of a choice in the matter lol.

You just have to keep in mind that germs are good.

I feel like I'm painting this picture of a toddler boy who is never bathed, lol. We live in the suburbs now so he looks presentable majority of the time unless we visit my BIL and SIL. Their neighbors have goats, sheep, and chickens, and they live off of a dirt road so I'm sure you can imagine the mess he gets into. It's really cute to watch him feed the animals blades of grass through the fence, though.

we live in a rural county so i completely understand! we were covered in dirt as kids because that's what we played in- down to the mud pies and running from cows in our grandparents' pasture.

i think once DD is a toddler, i'll be like, "go out and play in the dirt and rocks. eat a little if you want to." haha.

Lol I grew up on a farm. My dad still has a farm. Horses, chickens, cows, pigs, goats. DD plays with the animals all the time. I don't even bother washing her hands afterwards unless I can see the dirt. She's 3 1/2.
