5-7 years old.

My youngest stepdaughter is 5 and I would trust her but her big sister is 7 and squirrelly I wouldn't trust her on one.

I think it depends on the child. My son is 5 and I would let him sleep in one.

My oldest is almost 5 and we were looking into getting bunk beds but I was kinda iffy on it so I think we're just going to get a small loft bed and get a roll out bed underneath instead. I think it really depends on the child and your peace of mind lol

My daughter is almost 4 and my husband thinks we should get her one. I think she's still too young and I'm afraid she'd jump off and hurt herself. Just wanted to see what other moms thought. Thanks

My 2 and 4 year old have bunk beds.

THEY love it, and are really good on them.

Really? How do you keep them from jumping off? That's what I'm most afraid of! If we did get one, I think I'd want like a twin over full so if the kid on the top rolled off they'd fall on the bigger bed underneath. I don't know, I'm super paranoid!

Oh ok, that's a nice bunk with the shelves on the side! I love the idea of bunk beds because they would leave a lot more play space on the floor, but like I said, I'm paranoid lol. The railing makes me feel better though! I've actually never slept in a bunk or anything like it so I'm not too familiar with them. Thanks for your help!

When my oldest was about 3 1/2 we bought bunk beds but left them apart for awhile. When she was a little over 4 we put the beds together to make the bunkbed. Shes never had any issues with being on top but she's not in the least bit squirmy so that helps now my 3 year old may never be able sleep in a bunkbed she's all over the place I highly doubt its going to change .

I have a 3 & 6yo. We bought them bunk beds but I know the little one is not ready for it yet, so for now we have the two single beds on the floor and when the time comes will put one on top of the other (as it is designed to work this way). A great option for a bunkbed not only if you're not sure when the right time would be, but to change the room around from time to time.

I think I may try turning our single beds into bunkbeds now that he is 3.5 yo and potty-trained. It would definitely create a lot more space in their room.
