Oh dear lord

I posted about my cousin last night ( http://forum.baby-gaga.com/about2454742.html ). Well she's posting today that she called the police on a landlord who has a home for rent. She said her family was turned down by the landlord to rent the home. The landlord said no pets and no children. So she's called the police on this person because she says that her family is being discriminated against because she has a child and that is illegal.
 
I seriously think she has no idea what she's talking about.

And now she posted this:
If we find a place this week, I need someone to help chris move. I need a guy that wont complain about picking up heavy stuff and wont have a time frame of when he needs to be done. We only have 1 day to get it done and it will take all day. We're willing to pay a little for the help but only a little. Let me know if you can help when the time comes.

I it's in an age specific community they'll just laugh at her. However if not I think it might be some form of discrimination. I would not be offering anyone like that help moving! Does she think other people don't have lives or families?

Uh they own the property they can set rules if they want to!, sounds like one of those annoying know it all spoiled people

She and her family come before anyone else. It's all about her her her her her.

I don't know where she was trying to rent, so I'm not sure if it was age specific or not. I would think a landlord could turn down anyone for any reason he wants. I just thought like businesses and government housing couldn't discriminate.

If it was made plain that the landlord didn't want pets or animals, your cousin won't have a leg to stand on, particularly if the landlord can prove that he has expressed that stipulation to other applicants.

I don't know how it works where you live but in Canada if the landlord says no pets, smoking, whatever.. then the renter has to abide by that if they want to rent the place. It's not discrimination. Or, the landlord will allow a damage deposit so if they do have pets, they can stay but only if they don't damage anything.

Yeah... I don't know wtf she is talking about and to expect so much from a mover with very little pay? Not gonna happen. I know a few people like that and they drive me crazy! I don't know how you can put up with it or not say anything. I know I couldn't do it!

Oh if it's just some person renting their house without a management company they can do what they want! I forget some landlords just rent their places without the crappy company go between.

I think it's kind of mean not everyone's kids are demon children, but I can see why they wouldn't want children in an investment property.
