De Silva Pulls Ahead...

So had to gush to someone...
I've been doing this online dating thing and had a second date with "Oliver". Oh. My. God.   I didn't know men like this existed anymore... Aside from the fact that he insisted on paying for everything and has a "real" job, I might be in awe. We're going out again on Thursday.
He took me out to see the new Die Hard movie. He always offers to pick me up, so after he did I almost slipped on some ice and he caught me. Like an arms-around-me-totally-a-kissing-moment movie catch. So, I think he might have thought me a bit clumsy because he offered me his arm whenever we walked anywhere for the rest of the night.   After the movie he offered dinner, which I was thinking someplace nice, but not super pricey like Carlos O' Kelly's or Applebees, but right off the bat he offers Olive Garden or Red Lobster (two of my favorites restaurants). Unfortunately, both have over an hour wait, so he overs to cook for me at his apartment. It was nice... his bedroom actually had tiffany lamps (he just gave me a tour, don't get excited). So we talked as he chopped and diced and made the most AMAZING peanut chicken linguini stir fry! I had two helpings...

Now, I'm a nerd, so this part is more of a thing for me, but he had this huge custom-built computer with a TERABYTE of hard drive!! And his computer screen? A 52" flat screen. It also doubles as a tv. lol So we watched a couple episodes of Futurama before I had promised a friend I'd see his stand up later that night... I might have been enjoying the company, so I asked if he wanted to go. We went and let me tell you... amateur comics are horrible! But the guy stuck around as long as I wanted to be there. We also went to go say Happy Birthday to one of my best friends, Jeremy, at another bar. Poor guy has only been in the area 6 months and had never been to any of these places before and was totally out of his element, but he just joined in, gave high fives, and even did a funky chicken dance. Finally, we went to my "home bar", which is the place I am always at. It's two blocks from my work, I'm friends with all the bartenders and most of the regulars and the last time I brought a guy there, poor guy was met with all sorts of threats should he break my heart. lol They're kind of like a second family to me. Anyway, so we go in, order some drinks, and I went to play some music on the jukebox. It took forever for my songs to play, but when they did, he danced with me to every single one of them. It wasn't until then that we had our first kiss. And afterwards it was like a mind meld or something... it was one of those cliche things were everyone disappeared but us and it was our own little world. It was just like that!

Finally he drove me home, but we ended up talking for hours about everything... We talked about how we both loved the romantic notion of the 50s, with their american dream families, and fancy holiday parties, how we are both in a bit of a baby fever frenzy (uh oh), how religion is important to both of us, how we both feel we were born a couple decades too late. We were both about to nod off before I had to kick myself out of his car. I wanted to ask him in, but it was only our second date!
Today he sent me a text that said (verbatim) "U r awesome! And beautiful. And a great dancer. And a great mother. And i cant wait 2 c u again."

  I like this one.

Awww... I miss dating. Sort of....

he was so different from the men i usually go for , all my exs were dark hair , dark eyes , either greek or italian lol
he is blonde haired , blue eyes and scottish lol

when i realised i could just be me with him then i knew , i didnt have to pretend to be someone i wasnt , i love that i can just be me and he can just be him
