I have a wonderful WAHM who is currently in the process of making me a TON of cloth diapers. (44 items all together i think?)

Shes gone the extra mile for me, been so patient with me adding/switching around my order/fabric choices & is shipping everything free of charge.. she even made an error in calculations & was going to charge me $100 less without mentioning it. (i brought up changes in my order and asked for prices which is when i found out)

I want to give her a little 'thank you' donation and am unsure of how much i should put through.

Its going to take her lots of time to finish my order & im really grateful for having such an honest/reliable mama to do this for me.

How does 'tipping' work there?  

If you spent $1,218 how much would you tip typically if you were VERY happy with your item/service etc?

For that much and her shipping for free? At LEAST $100.

$61 would be about 5% and $121 would be about 10%. I've never tipped a wahm only waitresses and delivery guys haha. So I'm not sure what the appropriate percentage would be.

The 100 she miscalculated, did she figure that in or is she letting it go?

Personally I would pay the $100 that was miscalculated and probably send flowers or a gift card for a pedi/mani or massage. We dont typically tip WAHM's and dealing with you changing your mind is part of running the business. There is no appropriate amount in this case as its not typical.

She quoted me a price & based on her regular prices when she was super tired and was heading to bed & i thought she was giving me a discount... a HUGE discount.

I then asked how much it'd be if i downgraded a few specs and thats when she mentioned hesitantly she'd miscalculated & told me not to worry about it though etc she'd do the upgrade free of charge.

I insisted i pay full price & put the correct amount through to her for what i wanted & downgraded also like i wanted because her work is quality & i don't want her to be going the extra mile for me and not be covering work/time costs.

15% is $169.20

My question is.....why that many diapers?

Personally i think i'd prefer the cash also

Personal preference i guess, she is rushing this order & missing out on time with her family for me.

If i can soften the blow a little then i'd like to put something through to say thank-you & to express how grateful i am for her.

Shes the only mama i trust with diapers, i've bought from her before & was SO happy with the quality & service.
