autism spectrum

Ok my sons OT told me to expect an autism diagnosis,it seems the older he gets the more I notice things about the way he does stuff...is this normal? Also what can I expect at his formal evaluation appointment...will it take several to get him formally diagnosed..or will they just collaborate their findings with those of hos special ed school ..his ot, speech therapist etc?
