thank you! I will have to check that out!
There is this outfit I want SOOOO bad if we end up with a girl... but the smurffy part is I wouldn't be able to exchange it at a store if we had a boy.

We had two surprise babies!!! It is so much fun. With our first the midwife held him uo and I got to yell "ITS A BOY!!"

With our second baby was placed on my chest and the cord was in the way and I couldnt see so I yelled "WHAT DID I GET??!!" Everybody died laughing and then I cried like a baby when I found out we got a daughter!

We did the same thing you are doing. We just boight one girl outfit and one boy outfit and about a weeks worth of neutral sleepers. Then after baby was born we bought some stuff and everybody we know got clothes for babies so we had tons of stuff!!

Well that's okay. It's just one outfit. If you bought it and ended up not being able to use it, you could always sell it or give it away or something of the sort.

I loved not knowing. We bought mainly gender neutral and had a couple pinks and blues ready!   best part was my gut feeling was totally right and I got to use the pink <3

I did exactly what you're planning to do! I don't think it's stupid at all. I was torn between finding out + leaving it a surprise lol. As it happened the doc wasnt able to confirm, just guessed a boy. I felt all along it was a girl but decided to he surprised anyway lol. There was a sale on in a local store + complete newborn outfits (vest, babygro, pants, jacket, socks, hat + mitts ect) were only €1 reduced from €15 in all colours so no way could I leave them there for that price! I bought 1 pink set, 1 blue + 1 yellow. All for €3, great value! (Sold out in the white smaller sizes   ) As it turned out I had a girl so she got to wear the pink of course + I also used the yellow set loads of times before she outgrew it. The blue I gave to my friend who had a boy 3 weeks later. She knew it was a €1 set but was delighted to get it anyway.

ehh people said that about me and even my ultrasound tech thought it would be funny to ruin the surprise and tell us the gender made me very mad since this is my last baby but hell that baby is not lving with them or coming out of anyones body but yours so F them your baby your rules and gender once you start looking around really isnt that big a deal till baby gets here and even then hell just do like I did buy a few gender neutral pieces and then when baby gets here pick out the rest of outfit in one specific gender get a neutral onsie and then when baby is born buy blue or pink pants etc.

lol i agree with you on this some people want it to be a surprize and not want to know the sex of the baby there is nothing wrong with buying cloths for the baby they have unsexed ones as well you can get but thats up to you i think maybe your friends are jealous cause you are pregnant and they are not. good luck momma

I would have flipped out if the U/S Tech tried telling me the sex of MY Child when I wanted it to be a surprise.

I was mad as hell and she also thought something was funny so I asked her if everything was ok as this was an er ultrasound and normally you dont get to see or be told squat she turned the screen to show me my daughter pound her fist in my cervix watched it go thru and her head became engaged I was terrified and it still freaks me out its one thing to feel it another to actuallysee and confirm it....made me happy later being able to just be told her condition the techs thought I was wierd not wanting to see my ultrasounds till they could confirm what was on the screen but it terrified me like the ultimate horror story terrified me seeing my lil one sac and all just kinda hanging out like it was ok and the smurfing tech giggling thinking it was funny I was being punched open like a damn jack in the box....so glad things have gotten better now

My first didn't even tell us.

But the OB at our next appt, even though we said we wanted it to be a surprise, told my husband. He was pissed.

My tech on Friday asked if we wanted to know. If we had said no, she wouldn't have pushed it. She was awesome. We were honest and said we had a feeling it was a boy, and she laughed along with us when we found out we were right.

I can totally relate! We did the exact same thing bought one boy outfit and one girl outfit but I plan on just passing along the one we don't need since I know someone pregnant with each gender due after me. I think family is the rudest to me like pushing the subject, every time we go to the doc. They say things like 'you gonna find out today' 'how do we know what to call it??' Ugh 'it' grow up people! I'm thrilled to know my little bean is a surprise, it's our first baby and we have no expectations! I am due in two weeks and have no huge crazy desire to meet bean which I think is due to the fact that we don't know the gender so I don't sit around all day wondering about my little boy or girl..... I'm just a happy preggo lady with the best little bean in there cooking away!!!!! You go girl! Never eat those cornflakes lol! Just think about that magically moment when your baby is born and you announce oh my it's a _____!!!!!!!! Forget the rest do what you do best! Head up I know exactly what your feeling!!

I get that I am going to be more excited than everyone ( well me AND my husband) but still, keep your negativity FAR from my family. I don't give a single smurf about anyone's opinions on ANYTHING I am doing. Breast feeding, keeping it a surprise, NOTHING...

People are just such negative nancys
I don't think we will find out with the next baby either. I mean, I have stuff for a boy AND a girl... so I don't have anything to buy. So why bother?
