at my 4 week pp checkup my dr and i were discussing birth control options. when he was talking about mirena he said "well the only real downside is if you get an STD, it can be really serious. So you can't go around being a sex tramp"

My OB refused to give me the IUD after my first son his wording was "it was only for women in a committed relationship" i had been with my sons father about 3 years at that point.I hated going to him . His nurse was the wicked witch in disguise as well

why is it only for women in committed relationships? hahah I have the mirena..my dr suggested it. (though i've been with the same guy for 2 yrs..but i dont know if i always will be)

No I do not have Stds but my obgyn does know this is my third child by a third different guy, and I'm still not married... However I am engaged but my bf and I we're waiting in the room for him to come in and we we're checking out a display of the mirena and he said a smart ass remark ... I can't remember his.exact words but let's just say I knew what he meant lol
