What do I do with these knockers???

My milk came in last night and DD won't latch. She was latching brilliantly and everything was going great until she got really bad jaundice and had to be put under the lights and supplemented. Of course, she won't latch to save her life now. I DO believe we can transition her back... after all, she's only a few days old. In the meantime, though, I'm offering the breast for a good five minutes or so, and if she won't take it, giving her pumped milk. I'm pumping every two hours for 15-20 minutes... but they are still HUGE and hard and painful! What can I do about this? Or will it just regulate itself out eventually? With DS, he always had trouble latching and so my milk never came in at this rate!

Mine became less painful in like a day or two.

Only thing I can tell you is to keep trying. Keep pumping and trying to get her to latch on the breast.

When my DD wouldn't latch I expressed into her mouth because she would get impatient due to waiting to long for her liking for a let down. Onve she realised the milk was flowing she would latch.
Pumping can create an over supply so only pump until you are comfortable not empty if you are trying to latch her.

Asher was a champ until my milk came in, then I was pumping, he got used to the bottle and wouldn't latch. I bought a Medela nipple shield and he was back at it. Never had a drop in supply. He's almsot 5 months and I broke him of the shield about a month ago. Still BF strong
