if insurence covers it get a medela instyle or any hospital grade pump. you can use those an unlimited amount of times during the day. if you get a closed system you can resell later or pack it up and save it for another child. my insurence didnt cover mine so my sister bought me an evenflo double electric for 60. you can only use those kind 2 times a day to avoid tissue damage but im a stahm mom anyways. its not recommended to pump the first couple weeks. lanisoh makes awesome medical grade bags too.

I went with the Medela InStyle. It was the only one available at the only place that had them left for my insurance company.

Why do non medical grade cause tissue damage and medical grade do not? I've never heard this and cant afford the more expensive ones

also look into your insurance with the new health care laws etc they are supposed to cover them. when i had dd it was medical reasons only. wic also rents them out if you are returning to work.

I had an Avent Isis duo double electric pump with my third baby(I didn't bf or pump for my older two). Since Philips Avent has changed, I don't think you can specifically find the Isis, but they DO have a double electric pump, a single electric, and a single manual pump. I might go with the Avent again, but if I don't, it will be Medela.
