yah ur right if i take 12 credits witch is full time where i go then i will get fin aid for 2 semesters and will not have to pay out of pocket.

see this is weird to me because I take 15 credit courses. full time is 12 credits. and I am allowed three quarters (we dont do semesters....semester usually means half a year right? 12 weeks is how long our quarter is)

yah 16 weeks is normal...

When did all this change happen? Cause I've always gone the 4 terms and have never had to pay out of pocket... I got financial aid and even received a refund in the summer, aside from the spring & fall refunds.

Last year is when it took effect b/c that's when I had to talk to the FA at the school b/c I usually take Summer semesters too

I got financial aid last summer & this winter, and didn't have to take to anyone about it... Neither did any of my friends who go to CCs here.

it must only be your school then. because with the 2012-2013 school year I have funding for fall winter and spring.

No but that's why I have some put away to cover my summer math class.

My school only has fall, spring, and summer semesters.

Same here. I have funding all 4 terms at my school, and so does my bestie at her school.

depends where u are as well 5500 will only cover 2 terms taking 4 classes. If u take winter/summer here u cant take spring/fall ect. depends where u go as well., my community college is a state college now so the rates are a bit higher.

Did you go full time in spring in fall? It may be one of those things tht slowly takes effect across the country. I just know that Obama changed it to be that way. It was on the news too. But it also depends how much the school costs too

Yes, I did ft in spring & fall, then pt summer & winter. We're at about $50 a unit right now so maybe that's why, it's pretty cheap.
