condom question

DH and I have talked about using condoms along with my birth control pills while we aren't trying to conceive. We used a trojan magnum last night and I started feeling very sore down there in the middle of having sex and after we finished, kind of like a burning feeling. I even went to bed feeling that way, it was gone by the time I woke up this morning.

I don't have any allergies that I know of, could I still be sensitive to the material of the condom or could this be something else? What should I do?

I got that way with the trojan fire and ice. It could just be that condom especially if you never used it before. Try a different condom and see if the same thing happens!

We used the same kind, thin with lubricant, it wasn't a wetness issue. I just refused to use them. But SO thinks no other condom is large enough and it "has" to be a Magnum  

Maybe it lost it's lube and it just got dry and rubbed too hard?

That's how my DH is too! I asked him if maybe we should try another condom and he said "there's nothing else big enough for me"  

I would try a different condom.
This happens to me when we use anything but Trojan magnum. I have no clue why? But it's not as bad with the Trojans.
I also have a history of latex allergies in my family. So I'm just thinking I may be allergic.

we've used magnums, since having Maks, soo 17 months, only time it started hurting during sex is if it was dry, but he can feel it so he will put lube on or change condom...

I always get irritated with condoms. Even if I'm "wet" enough we still need to use extra lube and even then I'm a little irritated after.. I think it's just the way the material rubs.

I can't even use condoms because I have an allergy to them.I'm not allergic to latex but down there I am lol its weird! My doctor suggested using the animal skin ones (kinda gross sounding I chose another method instead of those). You can also use spermicide foam or jelly.. Was it the first time you had used a condom? it could have dried out or maybe the lube on it was irritating for your body. I'd explain to your hubby what happened and try changing brands.if the same thing happens ask your doctor. Hope y this helped

We've used trojan magnum before, when I was a few weeks post partum after LO. I had that same dry feeling then too, but we also used lube at that time and I thought "maybe the lube didn't mix well with the condom". This time we just did foreplay and I still got that feeling!

Another problem I just realized I forgot to mention is that the condoms actually broke on us the two times we've used them now as well! DH said he felt the condom break last night around the same time I started feeling the burning sensation. I don't know if there could be a connection between those or not..

are u really dry down there?? only time we've broken condoms is if were going a long time and i start getting dry, depending on the lube u use, we use

its compatible with condoms,

is he too big for the large condoms?? my babies dad had to use these


But hes like 9 inches, if u ask him it's 10, but I think he was just 9 lol

See now every time we have sex it Burns after and all night and we don't use any protection! It started a few months ago and I've been meaning to ask my doctor about it.its actually on my mind alot and we don't have sex as much because of it   I've noticed its worse though when he cums in me... For your sake I hope its just a condom thing cause whatever is wrong with me sucks :/

Im allergic to most brands   severe latex allergy, can't even wear latex gloves. I break out in a rash immediately. Even with the latex free ones I still get a burning sensation + sex is too sore + uncomfortable. Hate it coz even though I'm on the combined pill I'm still paranoid that I'm not protected enough ugh
