Plastibell came off.. question.

DS was circ'd last Wednesday and the plastibell came off today, but it looks red and uncomfortable. (no sign of infection) His pedi said no vaseline or anything was needed with the plasibell, but it just looks uncomfortable, would putting maybe some neosporin on his diaper be bad? He isn't in pain or anything.

It wouldn't be "bad" but it really isn't needed if he's not in pain and there's no infection. I have had two boys with plastibell and both just fell off and looked perfect. I would call the pedi though, idr how long they are supposed to take, but my oldest stayed on for 14 days, my youngest was 10 days.

She told me 5-7 days, so I figured it was normal. I'm about to call though

I would put polysporin on his ding.
I did it with my son just because I felt so sad that his ding looked so hurt.

My MIL is a nurse and said there's nothing wrong with it. He's now 1.5 years and has a perfectly healthy wiener. Lol
