just a quick question

posted 25th Feb
Hello ladies, was just wondering how long after you loose your bloody show should you head to L&D. I went to the bathroom about 20 minutes ago and noticed that I had lost it. I have been having contractions since I got up this morning but they have not been timeable. Now they are getting stronger but yet not very timeable. Just wondering about your opinion o this. I am 38 weeks and 1 day today.

You don't go to L&D because you lost your plug.
You go when you're contractions are timeable.

I lost mine around 38 weeks and never did go into labor. I ended up being induced 5 days before my EDD. With my other 2 pregnancies, I never had bloody show or anything. Just went into labor or my water broke. Just time the contractions. If they start coming strong and regular then go to L&D. But just because you had some bloody show, it does not mean baby is coming. Just that your body is getting ready.

I was told by my doctor if I had any bleeding or if my water broke to head to L& D. Also if you have more then 6 contractions in an hour. Best bet would be to call your birthing hospital and tell them what is happening, they will advise you as to what to do. Good Luck Mama!

This....
I have lost mine three times this pregnancy and that was before I started preterm labor...It just means things are getting ready to happen and your cervix is changing either due to your practice contractions or your cervix could be softening up getting ready to give you some timeable ones
