found an iphone

I found an iphone on the sidewalk but its locked. Does anyone know how to break in, I want to try to find someone on their phone to call to let them now that I have their phone

Can you see who the carrier is? They might be able to help you find the owner.

I would take it to an apple store.

Call Apple or the carrier and they will attempt contact to the phone owner.... or wait for someone to call them.
