You do not need expensive bm bags. Ziplock freezer bags work just fine. U can freeze it in ice cube trays and them pop them out into the ziplock bags. If u know how much is in each ice cube it's simple to get the Amt of ozs u need and have less waste if baby isn't as hungry one day.
Call your Insurance company and see If they cover a breast pump. My recommendation is always a medela.

Invest in dr. Sears Breastfeeding book. It helped me endlessly and I'm still Breastfeeding my two year old now, after encountering every Breastfeeding problem you can imagine.
if you don't have to work or be away from baby I wouldn't recommend getting a pump at all right away, just nurse. The skin to skin is how your body knows what antibodies and nutrients baby needs in the milk and makes it to specifically meet baby's needs. Pumping and bottle feeding doesn't have the same benefits.

I have breastfed all my kids and my best advice to anyone is to commit to at least a month if you are really wanting to give it a good go. Babies are born knowing how to suck and mom's are made to produce milk, but breastfeeding is still a big challenge for most women. Learning to get it all together between the latch, engorgement, the pain and everything else going on can be difficult...along with being exhausted and the seemingly endless feedings a lot of women give up cause it is very hard. I always challenge myself to do it for one month no matter what and for us by then we have it down and it is on auto pilot and so worth all we have just dealt with. I am sure you will do great - best of luck to you!

From my own personal experience..... dont exclusively pump. I did that and I dried up within 3 months, and was ALWAYS pumping. Good luck!

I would nurse baby first and then pump to try to build up a supply. But nurse first!!
