What would you think

Saturday evening I get a call from my SO who was on his way home from work. He informed me his grandmother stopped at the house but didn't think anyone was home. Nobody ever knocked or rang the door bell. He then tells me that my attorney's secretary called her (his grandmother) asking if she could ask me to call them. There was also mention of a few other things related to my personal case that should not have been shared
First off I know the grandmother would have called from the driveway to see where we were at, my SO would have then called me and asked me to let her in, not waited until nearly 10pm to tell me.
I asked who this secretary was, and why if she just called me Friday would she feel the need to contact someone not related to me at all. My SO informs me that this is his cousin, but the next day when I try to better understand what happened, the story changed and he got defensive about it. If anyone should be pissed it is me, nothing should have been said about me or my case when my attorney and his actual secretary know how to contact me directly.
Something didn't sit right with me about the story, so after speaking with SO's mom and older brother I discover there is no cousin named "Kelly" so why would SO lie about it. This woman is not my attorneys secretary, so Kelly shouldn't know anything about my case.
This whole thing seems odd. I am waiting to hear back from my attorney directly to find out who this is, but the biggest of all that makes red flags shoot up is she knows things about my case the, aside from my attorney, only my SO knows.

Super weird and sketchy. I have no ideas of what is going on. GL and hopefully your attorney can clear this up, and SO needs to answer about why he was lying, and why would his grandmother assume nobody was home?
None of this makes any sense to me. Just weird and the whole story is a little confusing.

Also, you'd think if your SO's cousin was your attorney's secretary, he would have mentioned it before, like "Hey, my cousin works for the attorney!" Idk just something else weird about it. It was not a well though-out lie. Like he made I up on the fly for whatever reason.
