Your body will hold on to the fat from food, it attempts of it trying to prevent starving. Nothing like a good work out and a healthy diet to lose weight. It didn't take them 3 weeks to gain the weight it is going to take them longer to lose it.

I'm doing it to cleanse my system. I've spoken with a dietician about reintroducing food as well as my physician.

When I've been actively trying for over 6 months to lose weight, I'm willing to try this. I have hypothyroidism and my endocrinologist, primary physician, and a dietician I know have all suggested a system cleanse to see if my body responds. This isn't just something I sat and said, "oh what the hell, let me try this!"
