You are totally overreacting.
He told you where he was, he told you what he was doing.
If I was hanging out with someone who was sitting there constantly texting someone, I would be pissed. It's incredibly rude.

While he should have spoken to his Daughter and told her goodnight, I still think calling 27 times is incredibly excessive/obsessive. That's not even counting the texts and it makes you seem a little crazy tbh. He told you where he was.

You knew where he was ...
You didn't have to go all insanely on him.
And you didn't have to.insinuate he's a smurffy parent. "Put your daughter before yourself for once". Really? That's smurfing low but if its the truth, you have far deeper issues than this

Quoting ★ Mama +2 [28wks]:" Who stays at a bar from 2pm until God only knows to watch a race though? I only called him a lot after 8 when he didn't call her to say good night."
Apparently he does....and all it got him was a smurfload of phone calls and accusations of him being a smurffy father.

I don't watch races but I remember that when they come on, they're on for hoooouuurrsss.
And maybe he stayed after to shoot pool.
And maybe he got a little tanked.

Sounds like you have super communication and respect issues. My husband would never tell me to "smurf off" and I wouldn't talk poorly to him either.
I would be careful, things like this are a slippery slope.

They do go on forever.
Maybe he got smurffaced and had to find a safe ride to wherever he's staying. Maybe his phone died. Maybe he passed out. To up and call him a smurffy Father was ridiculous.

A handful of my friends yesterday were at a bar for the races. By the end they were too drunk to drive home so they stayed for another 2-3 hours playing pool, gambling, and hanging out. It isn't unusual.
I think calling him 27 times was over the line of normal? With you blowing up his smurf like that his phone may have died.
quotesmurfs?posted 25th Feb
You clearly don't trust him
What do you want? A smurfing detailed schedule of what he did last night? Piss breaks and all?
You need counselling imo. You'll ruin you'd relationship keeping on like this.

27 times is just crazy.........

I would be pissed...
my husband was spinning at a new years party 2 years ago, i stayed home with kids, wasnt in the mood to go, he didnt call, text or answer his phone all night, im thinking something happened, 8am comes he falls out of cab, i was glad he was ok but i let it rain on him,
when we call each other, we deserve for the other to answer, or at least text, especially if I'm at home with kids, or hes at home and I'm out.
No one deserves that, "something happened to him," feeling... until he decides to call...

He's an adult ... going out for New Years, did you not expect he'd be drinking? Maybe he went.overboard, but he didn't go out to be a phone slave all night ...
