2 things

1. DD is 9 months old (as of yesterday-24th). we don't have a lot of opportunities for her to interact with her babies or children. what age should i start to worry about it? she's generally outgoing, though here recently has started her attachment phase.

2. how important are manners in your household. Just the typical "please", "thank you" and "may I"? or do you request your children refer to you and SO as ma'am and sir? is there an age where you start to expect it more than ask for it? hope this makes sense.

It should be mom and dad. Ma'am and sir are for people that aren't family.

What if you're asking them a question or telling them to do something. like a kid 10 or older?

I would take him to parks, play lands, etc. at least once a week so he knows other kids exist and can build relationship skills with them. I wouldn't worry about constant socialization until around 3.

We have always requires please, thank you, ma'am, sir, etc. And I'm glad. I think it would be hard to introduce that later on.

We stress "please" and "thank you". DH doesn't even use "may I" properly, so I'm going to be working on both of them with that. Haha. We don't make DD say "ma'am" and "sir" to us. I've never understood that use within family.

I would rather be called mom. Insisting your child calls you ma'am or sir IMO is a little much. A child can be respectful to his or her parents without saying "yes ma'am".

she sees kids when we go to doctors, or visit certain family but that's like once or twice a month or so.

When DD gets something she doesn't need MIL will say "thank you" when she takes it from her and i tell her "no ma'am". not sure if it's habit or so that she'll be used to hearing the words...

yeah, i don't think any of us really use "May I" but i'm hoping to get DD used to it before going to school.

DS is 3 and isn't around children often, but we take him to the park at least once a week. He's very social and has zero issues with interacting with kids.

DS must say please and thank you. I'm Momma and DH is Daddy, I don't care much for Sir or Ma'am.
