I always alternate between kids tylenol and kids advil (ibuprofen). My daughters pediatrician always suggest alternative tylenol and motrin.

Well I was going to suggest like a honey elixir (basically the honey with lemon) but you obviously don't want to go to the store and I didn't read that you didn't have honey til after I voted and went to suggest it. Sorry other than that I have no idea

If you're gunna go to the store tomorrow, I'd definitely buy some eucalyptus oil. I swear by that. Rub some on the bottom of his feet at night and put on socks. You can also put a few drops in a bath and on his pillow. Good Luck and hope he feels better hun

Just alternate Tylenol and Motrin for tonight then if you have them. And run the humidifier to help

Two things, do you have any vicks vapor rub? Rub it on the bottoms of his feet and put some socks on him. I don't know how it works, but it does. It helps a lot with a cough. Warm tea is good for soothing a cough too, even without honey.

I'm pretty sure Motrin and Advil are the same thing, ingredient wise; ibuprofen

I did the vicks too but with my son the eucalyptus oil always worked wonders for him. I wonder why

Awesome, we'll try that! I hate medication -_- I hope we make it through tonight because all I have is Advil and I don't trust it.

I don't do fever reducets they are horrible on the kidney and liver which prolongs infections and sends them to the brain.

But we do eucalyptus oil and coconut oil for congestion and cough rubbed on feet and back and chest
GOOT ( garlic cloves in coconut and olive oil for 2 hours, let it seep then remove garlic) rub on back feet and chest for colds and congestion
peppermint oil (1 drop diffused in coconut or olive oil) on feet and temples to fever reduce only if it is really high like 103 bc fevers are good
luke warm bath or cloth never cold to fever reduce. A spike in fever too raidly up.or down can cause febrile seizures which are harmless but scary
Lots of fresh garlic in food
Increase d3 and c
Elderberry syrup for colds
Fresh citrus juice in warm.water
