Baby Shower vs. Welcoming party

I was actually just thinking about this today.

When I finally get pregnant and have a baby I think I'm definitely going to have a Welcoming Party instead of baby shower.

I feel like girls are more excited about the baby then the actual shower and would prefer to meet the baby.
