MLA experts!

I am writing a book report and have cited the book mla style at the top of my report as per teacher instruction. Using MLA format, how to I cite something in text? there are a few things that I need to put word for word. Do I put a page number after ex:
"Select an objective at the appropriate level of difficulty." (p.22)

I am not using any other book in this report, no other author. No other outside source. So is this okay to use?

You mean in the text of your paper? Hmm now that I think about it Im not sure because Ive only used Turabian/Chicago *shudders* and that used footnotes. There should be some helpful guides online.

its not a formal english teacher type paper. but we only do about 3 papers through the quarter so it might be need to be pretty formal. I think this is the correct way though, because I am only citing one text.
I guess I will find out.   I have never really had problems with citations other than using bibliography, but I always question myself because I go on what might be obvious, rather than what is actually needed. lol
