Disney World tips

We just booked our trip to Disney World for August. We will be there 4days. We are staying at shades of green and have park hoppers. Any tips, musts to do's?

I heard to buy the dining package. and bring water.

I have never been their but my cousin works the michael jackson ride

Well honestly, I wouldn't go and not stay at Disney. It's much easier and a better overall experience and 4 days isn't really enough time to do everything.

But I would make sure you spend a day or part of one at a waterpark they are really fun! We also got a food package that was nice and easy and included a lot of nice things. We went in August too and it's sooooo hot!!!! Bring a little mister and bring lots of water.

If you or your SO are in the service or retired from the service I believe you get a discount at shades of green.

Really? I have never heard of it, is a like a Disney neighboor hotel? If you are staying on Disney you get extra magic hours, so take advantage of those for sure!!! And watch the firework show it's awesome!!!!

And if you have girls, do the bippty bippty boo boutique! It's super fun for them.

Yeah, it's on disney close to epcot. thanks, I'm excited. I feel bad about only being there for 4 days. :/ I hope my son (will almost be 5) has a good time. no girls, just our son. lol.

Oh cool! He will have so much fun! It's overwhelming how many things there are to do. Just make sure you take advantage if magic hours and fast passes you will get to do it all.

fast passes? How much are those? and do you like skip the line?

They are included in your hopper pass. You just scan them at let's say rockin roller coaster, and it will say come back in two hours. Then you just go to the fast pass section instead of waiting 3 hours you only wait like 15 min.

Since you are going for four days, you bought the military park passes right? You shouldn't need a park hopper. The four day military pass includes all four parks (not the water parks) for $157.

I know its not that important  but when you go to Hollywood Studios, it is quicker to take any disney bus back to Magic Kingdom and catch a bus from there to SOG then to wait for a SOG bus at HS. I personally hate staying at SOG because the wait for a bus can be ridiculous compared to other resorts. The only plus side to SOG is the "starbucks" and the shoppette in the hotel which is tax free and way cheaper than the park.
