I cud never get an abortion. I heard my sons heartbeat at 6 weeks.

To each their own though.

I got my NT results back today and everything seems to be ok, but you can't check for my kids disorder this way so I'm still having doubts...

For me, ANY time is the wrong time to abort. I couldn't bring myself to abort at any point in the pregnancy. To each is own though I suppose.

None though I'm not too big of a fan of elective abortion after viability.

I have no problem with it. It's a woman's right to chose whether she wants to keep her baby or not. I don't judge.

As long as it's still in the womb, it's fair game as far as I'm concerned.

What I mean is, if a woman chooses to terminate anytime over the course of her pregnancy, it makes little difference to me whether it's 6 weeks or 40.

It means if you are pregnant you can abort. No matter how far along

So for those of you who believe in abortion after viability. If the baby is born with some kind of defect would the mother have the right to decide to end it's life after birth?

That's not the same thing as terminating a pregnancy.
Plus, there's all kinds of genetic testing now, so as far as I know, it is fairly uncommon to go all the way to birth in America without knowing about major defects. Birth injuries are certainly tragic, and Idk what I'd do in a situation like that. I especially don't know what my heart would do. So, sorry, can't say.

In some parts of the world, it's pretty common for parents to abandon or kill babies right after birth if they have defects. The Inuits used to toss baby girls out into the snow because they had no value. Who am I to say what should be acceptable for anyone's life or culture based on my own opinions? I've never even had an abortion and I'm one of the most pro-choice people I know, only because it's just not my place to judge. People do the best they can figure out how to do for themselves, and sometimes I don't understand it, but it's not mine to understand.

There's no way to test for my kids disorder. I love them and couldn't imagine life without them but I wish I could end their suffering. If only I had known before they were born things would be different.

But the baby is able to live on its own and is therefore its own life. I'm not judging or trying to press my views on others...it's a discussion. I am aware that some people are not able to keep their baby for whatever reason, but I do not agree with abortion as a method of birth control or late term abortions & that's my opinion.

Personally I couldn't do it after feeling the baby move, but for anyone else I have no issues with late termination. And I deff don't have any problems with late term. if there's a medical problem.
