OP said she was dear.

I don't need a medical lesson, I've taken basic pediatric classes.

Actually... dear... she said that she spits up frequently. Never specified the amount. Jumping to conclusions and immediately suggesting medical intervention is a bit over the top. I assume (OP can correct me if I'm wrong) that her daughter is gaining weight normally. If that is the case, the reflux is not severe enough to warrant any immediate call for concern.

As I said, other than medication all they really could do is surgery IF her issue warrants it. Do you really think they want to do surgery on an 11-month-old who isn't having issues with weight gain.

It happens.. it can be totally normal.
If she is concerned enough that she doesn't want to take her pediatricians word for it, she can make an appointment with a specialist... but switching her child off of formula before a year is NOT the solution.

Ok dumbass. Why don't you go back and read through the post. She said she can only handle 6 oz at a time or its a huge mess. Huge mess = a lot.

I didn't suggest surgery, ass hat. I said medical intervention as in speak with your doctor and come up with a plan and/or do some testing if necessary. Stop putting words in my mouth. Run your ass along.

Does cussing make you feel tough?
I did read, thank you. It's NORMAL for a child who spits up to not be able to take large amounts at once. If she's only spitting up that much when she's drinking big bottles, it's not really an emergent issue.

If YOU read, you'd see that she DID speak to her doctor about her concerns and her doctor told her that it was something her child would probably grow out of. Also, if you read you would see that she HAD tried medication for her child without luck. What other intervention do you suggest if she has already tried medications and has spoken to her child's doctor? The only other intervention that could be given is to determine that it's something that needs surgery. It's that, or the child will grow out of it. Pretty damn simple. And most likely, since it really isn't that severe, her child WILL grow out of it. Probably not something OP wants to hear, she probably wants a quick fix... but that's the truth.

I'll run my ass along if you would like to explain further what you expect her or her doctor to do, if medication is not going to work? What kind of testing do you expect to be done on an 11-month-old? Go ahead... explain. Worry this poor mother some more about something that really isn't that HUGE of a deal.

She is gaining weight and growing fine.... I had tried the medication for Acid reflux months ago and after 3 weeks and no change I stopped giving it to her since it was pointless.

if your child is growing healthy then more than likely your child will grow out of it. it may take some time, but will grow out of it. if she can handle small amounts of formula at a time, you may just have to do that until her digestive system is fully grown.
Sorry you have to go through this mama. Unfortunately, there are no quick easy fixes.

I know that the doctor said at her 9 month that she could not have less than 3 bottles a day.... does anyone know the minimum amount of formula? She has 3 six ounce bottles... maybe I should go back down an ounce to see if that helps

I dont know of a minimum but...
as long as your daughter is growing healthy, go down an ounce or two. you may have to feed one more time a day to make up. it may just be easier to feed small amounts at a time many times through a day then to give larger amounts three times a day.

Hmmm I don't know the minimum amount, but in my experience using goat milk worked best. My brother-in-law has a home closeby with 10 acres of land and a few goats that supply him with all the milk he needs. When we visited last I asked him for some of the goat milk and it works like a charm! Best of luck to you!
