Odd pain in back

I've been fine all day until about an hour ago. I got kind of this dull pain in my back like right under my rib cage. I finshed dinner and sat down. When I tried to bend sideways I got a sharp pain in that area. Sitting down it feels ok. It's more like sudden movements cause stabbing pains. Anyone had pain like this before?

I had the same problem last night. I go to my doctor on Tuesday so I will be asking her what the problem could be because it hurt like hell!
