If it's mush and stretchy, you've melted your hair and it needs to be cut. That cannot be repaired. The breakage, yes. Melted hair, no.

My aunt melted my hair once. She left bleach on it for 2 hours, while applying heat to it as well. We had to cut about 2 inches off. I was soooo pissed.

I would have to cut off all the hair that is melted? Cause, that would be like...all my hair.

More than likely just a few inches. The ends of your hair are more fragile, therefore probably took more damage than the top part of your hair.

How many times did you color it, girl?! I've colored my hair a few times a month, and never damaged it that bad from hair color alone. Or were you using bleach as well?

I bleached it once because I was going from dark brown to red. I touched up the red a few times while I had it, then went to a burgundy color and then I did the perm. I really think it was the perm that did it because it actually didn't look horribly damaged before the perm.

Yeah, I forgot you said you permed it. That is probably what did it. I'd go to a salon and have them look at your hair.
