SO, we are getting married in June.. A casual wedding at a barn. We are going to have a bunch of platters when it comes to food (sandwiches, cheeses, etc..)

Do you think disposable plates/cutlery are okay to use? Or should we use "real"?

I don't mean paper plates and the cheap dollar store utensils, but the heavy duty plastic. If you think disposable is okay, would you think it's okay to use clear heavy duty plates and utensils? Or should we go the more expensive disposable route and get the disposables that look like they are real?

Thank you! I agree! We are doing a destination wedding so its been so hard to have to do everything over phone/email

I got married June 30th last year and had all disposable stuff! It seems easier because people can just throw everything away when they're done.

We had a medieval themed wedding and we used these silver disposable look alikes that looked fancy but were plastic lol. You couldn't tell in the pictures that they were fake. Worth the extra few dollars.

Realistically, NO ONE but you will care how much you spend on the dining stuff. I didn't believe people who told me not to make things such a big deal when I was planning our wedding... and now that it's done and over with and a little time has passed (June 2011), I realize that a lot of it truly didn't matter and now I'm one of those people who say it's not worth thinking too much about. Get the cheapest decent dining stuff and spend the savings on food upgrades if you need to. That will matter a whole lot more to your guests.

Here everybody uses disposable!

Stressful   lol.. mostly because of money though. SO is a carpenter and has been out of work atleast one day a week, sometimes more ever since winter started because of weather   Do you have your dress and such?? I'm jealous on the destination wedding, EEEKKK! Where are you guys going??
