Does anyone So's travel alot?/vent

My BD is in a band, and they are starting to play alot of out of town shows. Just in the month of march They will be playing 3 out of town shows, One being a festival in Oregon, we are in CA. Then this summer they plan on going a whole north-east tour for 2 weeks?
He has never been away from how Im not really sure how my daughter or I will handle him being away.
I dont drive so Im a little worried dragging her on the bus for school and shopping. How do you cope? When do you get use to it?
And honestly is it bad im a tad bit jealous he gets to take off and got play shows at festivals are daughter has been having a really hard time emotionally and behaviorally lately and I have been her rock. I wanna go drink beer and listen to music and not worry about parenthood for a few days..
Except that would never happen because I passed on going to both his shows in town because it was both us being away from her for to many days.

DH and I have been away from each other for a year, it was REALLY hard in the beginning. But honestly, I'm so used to it now. I get lonely here and there, but Skype and texting 24/7 helps a lot.
LO also Skype's and talks on the phone with DH, so he's always super excited to talk.

My husband has to go away for 3 weeks every year for annual training and 3-4 days every month for drill. It is really stressful when he's not here because we are a team lol. He always goes grocery shopping with me, we do all our errands together, all that jazz. So when he's not here my whole routine is thrown off.

I honestly couldn't handle if my husband was in a band. just thinking about all the drunk girl "groupies" makes me sick lol. I trust my husband completely but I just wouldn't like him being in that situation.

You need to learn to drive, you're making things so much harder on yourself.

Agreed. Not even to just be able to do basic things but to visit SO if you want.


Being apart sucks.

My husband travels a lot, I have family and friends that help keep me sane.

He set up help for me after the baby comes. We talk all the time still, and if it's for a long time I just go with him.you just make it work hen you have to.

Psh I totally agree..
I did have my permit but failed my driving test..
I plan on hopefully learning before he going on tour in june or july.
Having a panic disorder makes driving a little bir harder for me, I had a complete freak out trying to merge down a hill, it was really stupid..

What does your husband do?

Save up for a small class c motorhome and go along with!

Talk to your daughter's teachers about making up work and tests, and make the excursion educational.

Management at a software company, he has a lot of out of state/country meetings and conferences.

She's only in preschool, I honestly dont think his band really wants me to go..
I asked if we could just drive the car up behind him and he didnt like that plan.
Meh maybe this is just something he wants to do one his own..
