My baby has a long strand of hair resting in his eyeball

posted 24th Feb
Well he did -- until my SO scared the smurf out of him trying to lick it out his eye ball *rolls eyes*.. That was late night, the baby was hysterical, and I just ended up nursing him to sleep and vowing to try again in the morning.

This morning the hair was gone! I was super excited and figured that he flushed it out. BUT he keeps rubbing his eye with his hand and trying to rub his eye on my shoulder... could it possibly be behind the eyeball? What should I do?! I left a message with my doctor's nursing line and i'm waiting for them to get back to us.

It prolly just irritated his eye. Maybe scratched it a bit.

It may have just come out. Why didn't you just open his eye lid and get it out while he slept? That would have been easier.

It is not behind his eyeball. It will work its way to the corner of his eye if it is still there.

Your SO is disgusting. There are better ways to handle that. Next time a water flush will do just fine.

It will eventually move to the front of the eyeball if it is behind there. But I doubt it is.

I know Im a total Debbie Downer right now. Im sure it just irritated his eyes or maybe there is some dirt or dust from the hair stuck on his eye. But my friend actually had her hair wrap around her bf's eyeball and had to get it removed (the hair not his eyeball lol)

As she blinks, the hair should move to the edges or the corner and you'll be able to get it easier.

U can't just swipe it out with your fingertip? I guess I've gotten a lot of peoples eye lashes out over the years so maybe it sounds easier to me than it really is. Idk.
