little lottie

Well for those tracking I have decided with some support from you wonderful ladies here that the original namesakes for my daughter are not good examples to name my daughter after and while I really prefer names that have richly historical value and meaning I just cant seem to find a female in my family deserving that has a name I would use for my child....I am sorry great aunt joan but no....
I really love the nickname Lottie it means alot to me and the women I see with the nickname are good women in history but I am not so sure how I feel about the name Charlotte....
There used to be a website that you could type in nicknames and it would give you the mature or full version of that nickname if anyone could find that or suggest names that I could use the nickname Lottie with that would be great also the middle name would be Mae if that matters for some of you and while Lottie Mae works I would like a less childish first name that could work for when she gets older and give her options as I did with my son who has a whimsical first name and adorable nickname but a short strong masculine family name for his middle that he will be able to use if he so chooses

I have a little Lottie! I call her little Lottie and Lottie Mae all the time   her full name is Charlotte, but another name you could use is Carlotta. Or you could go with just Lottie. In the 1890's, Lottie was ranked higher than Charlotte on the social security list!

Carlotta I didnt think of that *runs off to google history*
I just love Lottie but does Charlotte Mae really work I find saying it out loud it does but this is probably one of those things I start saying it and fall for it as I did with my sons name

I love Charlotte Mae! I wanted Mae for my Charlotte's middle name but SO didn't like it. I still call her Lottie Mae a lot though because it sounds so cute!

Thats one of the few things I am steadfast on as its a very close family friend name and I am just one of those people who needs to have meaning and value in a name more than how cool it sounds or is spelt ...probably why alot of my rescue animals have people names and never cutesy names poor things

I actually like Lottie for a name. I even actually love Lulu for a girl which was popular back then say I dont know 1880s through the 1920's I think? It hasnt gotten great reviews from the family but I like it.
