cosleeping

posted 24th Feb
Hey ladies with this child I have had access to more cosleeping advocates who promote safe cosleeping methods from just room in cosleeping to an actual cosleeper in the bed...I was hoping to hear about your stories and any research or websites you can give me to read I really think this would help with breastfeeding as my biggest issue before my son developed his allergy was pumping or feeding at night it was very hard on me and actually made my supply drop from the added stress of only two hours sleep total a day but I have heard nothing but good things about how this could tackle my issue since you cant just starve the baby all night lol
I am already doing alot of research about how to keep your preemie from being separated from you and what the guidlines are for keeping LO with me this time around if she is as healthy as my son was so any moms who know of some resources for that as well would be great if you could share....
also does anyone know of a way to get minor repairs done to your mac I am tired of having to use a huge run on sentence and its a pain on my phone but at least I have grammar on my phone

I co slept with both my children and plan to do the same again with our third.

I co slept with my first until he was 18 months. and although I loved it, making him sleep in his own bedroom/bed was a nightmare. .
so with my 2nd I told myself I would move him in his bed at 6+month. i breastfeed him which was so easy at night to have him right next to me! didnt really have to wake up, just hear him moan, move my to down and he would do the rest for himself.
I ve stick to my gun tho and moved him in his bedroom at 6 months. the transition went fine. he still wakes up 2 times a night to feed so I now have to get up and feed him but I also enjoy having my bed/space back

Quoting nothing to see:" I co slept with both my children and plan to do the same again with our third. I co slept with my first ... [snip!] ... fine. he still wakes up 2 times a night to feed so I now have to get up and feed him but I also enjoy having my bed/space back"

With my son he was climbing out of his crib before he could even walk so I am hoping this will help if we end up in that situation again as I want the kids to share rooms but I dont want to move my son out of his big boy bed which was an easy transition since he was so young then to a bunk bed just because his sibling decides to follow his example ...was it harder having to actually get up at night to go feed LO after being used to the amount of sleep you received when first learning to BF or was it just the same because you already had BFing down

doesent seem selfish at all if its effecting both of your normal sleep patterns...I see alot of parents who find it easier to do a baby led kind of weaning of cosleeping that being said last child or not Idk if I am up to sharing a bed with a toddler when I have another in his own room as well but Co sleeping just seems to be the answer to my breastfeeding issue that being said did you use actual bed sharing or cosleeping like in the same room or a cosleeper attached to the bed

at first we did have his cot right by my side of the bed but after 4/6weeks he just co slept with us in our bed. simply because everytime I tried putting him back in his cot he would wake up and cry. the only way to make him stop was to have him against me.
not every baby is the same so one thing that didn't work for us might work for you.
