Not announcing name.
posted 24th Feb
Im 13 weeks pregnant and we have yet to announce this pregnancy.
I think we will wait another month to announce it.
we have also decided that we won't find out the sex of baby until birth and also, we won't be announcing the names we chose until birth, either. We figured it would be fun.
Im just wondering, for anyone who did this, if any family members got upset with you about not telling them what name you chose, etc?

Its all your decision huni don't dwell on what others think! They should respect your choice no matter what at least everyone will be able to share in the suspense Congrats and good luck to you mamas!!

My sisters did that. They announced their pregnancy very soon, but we'd have forgiven them if they wanted to wait. Tho, they hadn't decided themselves the names, they do the "wait and see".
I say go for it, it'll be fun for everyone to guess and have fun with

We wanted a surprise with baby number 3 too. Our families knew of some names that we had picked out, but didn't know we had our mind set on a boy and girl name.

We didn't announce the name this time either. I told a couple people ( like my mom) and the person doing the custom letters for her nursery. My family didn't care that they didn't know, but some of my "friends" got incredibly butthurt about it. But smurf them

I don't the opinions that come with announcing a name so we don't ever announce the name until baby is here.
Our families are never anything but excited to hear our babies have arrived safely. They don't ever complain or comment about our decision to wait, except maybe the occasional person who wants to buy a personalized gift or something.
